Default Opinions on Rusty's lifts.

The 97 XJ that I bought about 4 months ago has the Rusty's 6" with 2" spacers. I haven't had the XJ wheeling yet due to needing some work before that happens. How does those of you that have a Rusty's lift, like the performance of it? Just curious if the lift that I have is worth keeping or move on to another lift.

I would roll with it for awhile, and make up your own mind.

Rustys kits are great...but he uses factory style rubber bushings which royally SUCK. If you replace all the rubber busings with poly bushings then youll be a lot better off.

All the control arms on my TJ are Rusty's and I have no complaints.

your best bet would be buy whatever you can afford. i would be wary of buying some kind of unknown brand but rustys has been around for a long time now and most of the xjs i see are running rusty's products at least somewhere on there jeep. My xj is pretty much all rusty's parts. and nothing has broken yet

Thanks to all. I did a search on the forum like I should of to start with and read some good comments on Rusty's so sorry to drag the dead horse and repeat threads. I know a real slick builder in the area where I live that has built some very capable and impressive rides. He built a cherokee and I was telling him about mine and he was like Rusty's and Rough Country, kind of sound alike. He was pushing the Rubicon lift pretty hard and nothing wrong with Rubicon, but I figured that was more towards a business/$$$$$ money call for him than anything else. I bought the XJ with the lift on it so I am going to run it for all she's got with it on it. I have other things to spend my $ on right now than a new lift, but wanted to know what I needed to look for and to expect.
