I currently drive a 2000 xj 2wd I rebuilt the top end with a new head after the faithful 0331 cracked. She needs a new d35 the one in her now howls going down the road. After that she will be back to stock goodness.
I have the opportunity to get an 88 xj 4x4 with 280xxx miles and always sexy wood paneling at a great price. She needs some work like you would expect but that's half the fun.
My question is when I get this renix should I drive that engine till it dies then swap in my 2000 engine or in the mean time rebuild my spare block with renix parts and swap that in when the original engine finally dies?
