Most shops charges separately for all that stuff, I always threw it all in as long as the manufacturer had my butt covered on the warranty. lol
And stems and weights are a tax write off. Personally I think it is a little too greedy to charge extra for these. They do it because they can be deceptive about the cost of the tires verses the actual total mounted after adding extra. It's bad business in my book. Advertised tire prices used to include the tire, mounting, balancing and a new stem before the tax.
Now the advertised tire price only includes the tire, not everything else that it should include for that displayed price. Everyone has let them get away with this deceptive change in the industry when they should have stuck to their guns and held them to the old way, the more honest way.

Not sure I remember right, but I think it was walmart who started this deceptive advertising practice when everyone else was still doing it the old way. Most were too dumb to understand that in the end they were the same price as everyone else.
Not enough walk away if they don't like it. Most are not even smart enough to figure out or know if it's a good deal or not. They have to get on a forum and ask someone else. lol
Better to get on line and search out and compare the various prices then check locally. No doubt in most cases they'll want more. Maybe a good bit more. You just don't know until you ask. Locals wanted $30 more per tire for the XJ. A few months before just $7-$8 more for ones for our Blazer.

ill admit these tires are good but man it doesnt inspire much confidence in handling lol took a corner kinda fast and diving into it my steering felt very mushy. These sidewalls are alot softer than my old tires where you give the wheel a turn and itll snap your neck (totally never happened before nope m-mm nawp not at all never did shut up you cant prove it!)

New tires with tall tread just don't grab on corners like worn tires with very little tread left do. You should feel the difference of a new set of drive tires on a big rig compared to the worn set you just took off, it's all over the place crazy until you get used to them. lol
That's the word... You shared that once before and it is perfect to describe it! And for the life of me I tried to remember that descriptor and couldn't. lol
Back to the old word association trick I guess, New tire=worm=squirm. lol Man I hate getting old.

Been in the business all my life and always called it new tire "squirrel", as in it's feeling "squirrelly". Like when the back end of a fast bike or car gets squirrelly on you. But Squirm or squirmmy is a much better description of how this actually feels with new tread. lol

I'm pretty sure I picked up the term reading car mags at a young age or something. Who knows where all the useless knowledge comes from, right?
"Squirrel" is pretty damn close and would work just as well for rednecks or those who grew up around them. I fall into at least one of those categories...
