Default Opinion on purchasing this front bumper (and rear)

http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/pts/2026961562.html

Looking at buying it tomorrow or sometime this week. I discovered the hard way tonight that I didn't really have any tow points. I really need a new front (with a winch plate) and rear bumper (and spare tire mount on rear). Prefer to have receivers and such. The front looks a little dinky though, but im looking for around $300 for front with that similar style and $450 for rear with mount.

Any suggestions or anyone selling theirs nearby?

I think those bummpers look good and they kind of remind me of OR-FAB bummper but alot cheaper.

Okay, you don't think the fronts are too small and whimpy?

No I see nothing wrong with the front. If I didnt already have a front bummper and lived close I would def. get those.

There's a guy on here (little leonard or something, just search) that makes a little more beefy bumpers for the same price. I'm happy with my front and will get the back when other drivetrain mods are done.

Both those bumpers look really good. I think i'll just have to talk to them and see if I can get exactly what I want made. The ones made by littleleonard0909 look much sturdier, I am a little concerned it would sag eventually though

I nailed a good size tree with the side/corner of it and slid into another tree coming down a slippery hill directing into one of the D-rings. That sucker didn't budge.

Good forum people are hard to find, I like to stick up for the guy that's helping the community....not trying to retire early and rip people's heads off. 400+ dollars for a "bumper" is just ridiculous. I couldn't believe the prices when I first started looking. Some are like 800$...... For a buncha metal welded together.

I'm glad someone else feels the same as me. It's kinda sad isnt it like the trailready bummpers for $1200 Like really you have got to be joking right.

I'm sure there's people out there that can justify 1000$ for welded metal......but i'm certainly not one of'em.

I went and ordered front and rear bumpers from the local fabricator today. After seeing the bumpers in person I couldnt reseist both front and rear with tire swingout for only 500bucks. Seemed like a good deal!
