Default One For The S&R Guys, Where to put radios and control units???

Trying to find room for equipment in an xj is nearly impossible, so I come to you guys. I need to find spots for my equiptment.

Any help is greatly appriciated!
Heres what i have:
Motorola 2-way radio
Touchmaster Light/Siren/PA Control
Directional Light Bar Control
Scanner (which I may ditch for my handheld)
and My cb set up. Cobra 29 and 250 watt amp

and Ill deffinately be making the pa function of the cb control the real pa. 3 mic's is way too many!

Any ideas help, im pretty much stumped so far...

looks like you need to build a creative overhead counsel. When you figure it out please post pictures

yeah deffinately. does anyone know if the e-brake can be moved over on a 94 to the left how it is on a 97 and up?

edit: actually had this idea. i know, drinks and electronics. only containers with lids!!

I don't know for sure but you.should be able to put a 97 up center council in yours to accomplish moving the e brake
that would be much easier than trying to move yours

just a thought

also would one of those fit in front of your shifter below the radio somewhere?

I'm not really sure how to do this but I think I've read somewhere that you can swap in a foot e-brake from an MJ. Then you would have that whole center console area to work with.

just thinking out loud here, but will the radio get in the way if you have to change into 1-2? because i know when i have a cup or drink in my cup holders in my 2001, the drink gets in the way of the shifter

Also, the rear heater ducts run through the center console.

That's a good point about the shifter. Ill have to check it out. Im going to a handheld radio for the time being till I get my box built. Im going to just seal off the rear heat vents, I rarely have rear passengers anyway
