Default Onboard Air systems

How's it going everyone? Trying to decide between the ARB twin high performance and a Viair setup for my 98 sport. Does anyone have experience with either of these? Certainly want to be able to run air tools with the onboard system, that's a must. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

I would look at a viair compressor maybe twins with a 3 to 5 gallon air tank. The arb ones look small and i don't know if they put out enough air fast enough to run air tools.

That was my thought exactly but their claim is its good to go. The tank that comes with the "kit" would definitely need to go.

If you don't have air lockers why do you want on-board air? I have the Viair portable system continues duty cycle and love it. It takes less than a 1 min. to air my 33x12:50x15's from 13psi. to 30psi. and a flat on about 1 min.

I have no desire or need to run air tools on the trail as the only thing might be for a tire change, even that is only 5 nuts. Mine can run them but with a larger tank I need that room for other things along with air tools bulky.

The quality of the Viair systems I can attest to along with them being rugged my Grandson drags mine around on the rocks or whatever and has hooked it up in reverse several times.

All too often I find myself going to shows and races with friends, more times than not something breaks on someone's car. Aside from quick tire fills Id rather have the option of air tools than not.

The more I read the more it seems like Viair is the way to go

With air tools you will need to have a big capacity tank. Air tools use a lot of air to run them.

Tank size and how much cfm the pump can move. You can run bigger tank and a slower compressor.Or a smaller tank with 2 faster pumps. If your looking to buy one of them kits i showed you http://www.avsontheweb.com/onboard-air-system-1/ avs is a well known and trusted site.
