So I know my jeep is 15yrs old and ohio weather is crazy. I knew some of the rust spots on my jeep like my rain rails on my roof on the corners of each side of the windshield was shoeing rust and the bottom of my doors are starting to bubble. Okay easy fix for spring project. Well I found as I was installing my strobes in my tail lights that my lower quater panel is rusting bad, I can poke my finger through great more crap to fix . Glad I went to school for auto body. But limited on funds. What ideas to fix all my rust issues on the cheap. Rusty lower doors, rust rain rails and my rusted lower quaters..

 

Jeep rule #1, when fixing one thing you always find two more things that need fixing.

 

The doors you might be able to replace fairly cheap through CL or pick-n-pull....you could do a cut/fold on the rear quarters, and just eliminate any rotted out metal. Do you have access to a welder? Because really, the only right way to repair rusty, crumbling metal, is replace it.

 

Im going to buy a welder when eith my tax return.
