Default Old old Cherokee

I was in the junk yard this morning getting a transmission line for my brothers van and came across this old Jeep. It's a 1975 Cherokee SJ. Rusted to hell but still cool to see one of the first ones. Sorry for the pic quality but the sun was directly behind it.

Cool find. I get excited when I see bits of history like that too. There aren't enough FSJ Cherokees (or Grand Wagoneers) on the road with diesels in 'em, IMO

Hmm............kinda looks like the 2dr version of a Wagoneer of the same year. It's interesting how similar they look.

Yeah, Cherokee was 2-door only until the XJ showed up.

That is a Cherokee Chief. They are called FSJs and came in 2 door Chief model and 4 door Wagoneer models. I have a 76 Chief S project I'm working on.

There's pictures of the "2014 Wagoneer" out there, but since it could just be a concept vehicle I won't bother.

Then again...I didn't think that new Camaro would come out.

That looks pretty cool if they don't change it too much before production but, the one with the "Woody" doors looks kinda stupid.

I'll have to go back and look closer. All I saw was the name "Cherokee" across the back gate. I am thinking the "Chief" was a variation like we have the Sport, Pioneer and Laredo later.

U seen the design for the 2014 gladiator?? Some good design traits but overall I could do without the spare on the side and the wrangler front end.

Check out bjsoffroad.com for all kinds of FSJ parts. That's who i'll be using for my Chief S.
