Same here. My main reason for making this thread.
One thing that boggles me is the seeming total lack of off-road thought that went into its design. I feel like they made what type of vehicle sells the most these days and then used the Cherokee name as 'jewelry' to try to add back a feeling of off road prowes that was designed out of the KL due to market demands.
The front bumper is less than 4 inches off the ground on the one in the picture, I feel like at some level, some people will buy the KL because it says Cherokee on it and then think it can go out and be a capable trail rig. The base needed for that just isn't there. That's what bothers me about it. People will buy it and think that because it says Cherokee on it, that it will be a capable rig.
The meaning behind the name Cherokee is forever changed. My other least favorite part.
With all that said, keep in mind, for what the KL was designed to be, it shines.

All the other cars they're making are meant for asphalt. The thing is, back in the day, almost all cars were rear-wheel drive and almost all cars could be taken off-road. Ha! Today, cars are made for smooth rides and as little vibration as possible, which in tandem with reduction in parts, also equates to losing weight and gaining fuel efficiency.
