ok i jus went out today job hunting.....still no luck. but that aint what i wanna talk about. i was on my way home and i saw a 94 xj sport.
they wanted $3,000 and it had 160,xxx miles on it.
mine is an 00 xj sport and was $3000 4 yrs ago and it had 150,xxx miles.
im confused on the pricing here....
i hate the pricing on things these days
not only that the pass side and the roof were all sunfaded and missing paint and the drivers side door and driver panel were dented and it was missing and had mix matched plastics on the doors.

 

yup i agree. mines was a 01 w/ 170k when i bought, i paid 2750 bucks for mine. Good luck on job hunting. Do like me let obama pay for school!

 

Only thing I can tell you is.... People think their **** is worth more because their name is on the title... Most people go by the motto "sell high, buy low".... They think they should get the best deal on everything and get every penny out that they put in.... Those are the people that never sell anything and never get what they think they are buying with that "great deal" they just found.

 

well im not payin 3 grand on somthin im gonna hack up and turn into a trail rig.

Well, ya never know the story... it could have a 350 under the hood, or a stroker with only a few thousand miles on it... Or a freakin idiot owns it and thinks its a wrangler and is trying to get the resale value of a wrangler for it

 

I never understood why wranglers have such a high resale value. the only thing they do well on is the beach. i cant see paying that much for something that doesn't have a proper roof, no leg room, and uncomfortable seats. Where's the good?

 

I couldnt tell ya man... But Im glad they do... Check the sig And FWIW I got my 2000 XJ with 170xxx miles on it in a trade for a quad that I paid 1500 bucks for. The XJ just needed an oil change and new plugs... its my DD now



Oh yeah... It also needed new tires... I got those 4 wheels and tires for $300. You just gotta look for deals man!

 

i gotta 99 paid 3800 for it. bought it the way it is now back in may. lifted, brush gaurd locker roof rack. others not a bad deal

 

had an I6 with 160,xxx miles.
and i got my 00xj free from my neighbor. was a if u can fix it u can have it. so $100 radiator and an oil change and i had a xj. so a 00XJ sport with 150,xxx miles for $100.

 

uhhh, yeah, thats the best deal ive seen. Let me know when u run across that again!

None taken man... I know I gotta take the heat around here ... But I love XJ's just as much as any of y'all... But, sad to say, this is gonna be the GF's DD in about 2 weeks so I cant mod it out too much... got a 3'' lift and a cat back going on while Im in GA... She is gonna help me do the work since its gonna be her ride till we get hitched... Oh, and dont worry, I got full coverage for the "woman driver syndrome"... I dont wanna be out a rig cause of road PMS
