i just purchased a 2000 jeep cherokee it has an oil leak the guy i got it from said it was the main seal valve what do you guys think?

power steering is leaking bad, and woke up with water and coolant all over my driveway, it seems to be coming from right under the radiator cap.

 

Look and see where the power steering fliud is coming from. More than likely the high preasure line. If the coolant is comeing from around the cap that would be the first thing i would replace. if its leaking from the center to driver side of the engine i would look at the water pump.

 

If it's the rear main seal leaking oil you will be losing lots of oil. and most likely have oil all the way to the rear end if it's bad enough. It could just be a pan gasket. Your water leak might be a bad gasket on the cap or it could be a leaky tank seam or hairline crack in the radiator tank.
