Rotella 10w-30. Seriously the best stuff I've put in the XJ.

Quote: I didn't vote cause I know nothing of that oil. I usually just run the less expensive Super Tech stuff from Wally World and here's why... A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, or at least back when I was young and driving a truck, I used to go down to Shreveport every couple of months and pick up a truck load of cases of oil. The first time I ever picked up at this location, I backed up to the dock and I saw pallets of MANY brands of oil right next to each other. They were all coming from the same factory (refinery). Sure, I'm sure that there are little differences in the actual oil itself, but it was all made at the same place. The cheap stuff is made just like, and by the same people, in the same place, as the expensive stuff.
Yup! I know that O'Reilly house brans oil is relabled havoline. Bottled at the same plant and everything.

Usually run GTX high mileage but my AMSOIL is on its way to me now. Gonna run the XL 25K oil and filter. I now have 255K. We'll see what happens. Just as a side note, I just did an oil change in my 07 Raptor 700R using AMSOIL and there was a noticeable performance difference for the better.

I use Max Life in mine. Besides they're the only one in 20w-50.

Why 20w50? Just curious not wanting to start a war here. :-)

335,000 miles, it makes funny noises on anything thinner lol. If it starts making funny noises with 20w-50 I'm switching to Valvoline VR1 50w lol.
