Ohhh yeahh!
recovery means recovery points - hitch and receiver, tow hooks, shackles, hi-lift, 2 tow straps, etc. You need to be able to pull your Xj by something other than the axles. Whatever you go with , it need to tie into the unibody "frame", and not just the bumpers. Recovery should ALWAYS come first.
From there, start looking at armor - front/t-case/gas tank skids and diff covers (ruffstuff), rock rails.
Lift is always good, but only get you need. Some guys go big, but waste their money 'cuz they never really use the lift. If a 3" is all you need, do that. a little fender trimming will allow for larger tires without costing you a bunch more money. From there I'd start looking at after market bumpers front and rear.

Cut the bumper skirt off and add some recovery. I need to add some recovery to mine as well. I went with lift and fogs but I don't off road it right now. I think revoery points are pretty cheap though and easy to install.
