here is what they always looked like during my 3 month project....
it is not much, its my wheeling tool kit. but I did all my repairs with it.

No i clean up every night, whipe the grease off place them back. I have snap-on tools(mainly my ratchets and sockets and both ft lb and in lb torque wrenches) (and some husky tools too)tho so

smart man and i like the homemade breaker bar....I have one like it myself for smaller areas
oh by the way you forgot to throw away your Dr. Pepper can lol

It is my grease drip pan
because my land lord did not want a greasy floor.... And my 5 gallon bucket is full to the brim! (speaking of which I still need to empty it)
you can take a rockstar can make it a funnel to get around the track bar too

yeah i got stuck.I HATE MUD.frame bottomed out and swampers didnt help,they just did what they do and dig,,,,,,,,a deeper hole.broke my heart to get stuck in this little bud with swampers and a locker but hey stranger things have happened.i got pulled out by a truck.messed up pass fender getting pulled out but its beat out and line xed now

alright... i no longer own the jeep but thanksgiving morning of 2009 (at 2AM) after spending the better part of the night out on about 4 different trails headings all around the county, i was heading home taking a left turn onto our towns main street when My axle shaft's wheel bearing failed and the shaft walked out on me.....
after realizing that the shaft was bent and would not re-seat back into the differential (after many attempts) i gave up and proceeded home (with the help of 2 good friends that were out on the trails with me) to try to find something in the garage to help me limp it the last LITERAL mile home.....
and after scrounging around i managed to find my step-brothers old set of stockers off his chevy colorado.. then immediately grabbed my floor jack, 12 pack of mtn dew and flashlight...
got back to the jeep flipped the Chevy colorado stocker rim/tire for the inside of the rim to sit up.. jacked up the jeep and set the backing plate of the drum brake inside the rim.. made sure the axle/backing plate was set in there good and away i went.... now keeping at a whopping speed of 4mph down main street with one of my buddies at either end of the jeep with their flashers on wasn't bad... the tire didn't squeel or "burn rubber" at all, the stocker wasn't hopping around or binding at all with the axle, it actually worked out pretty well, just glided along smoothly
now i know many of you will say "OMG thats sooooo dangerous!!!" well at first yes it seemed pretty stupid but if you think about it... 2AM on a holiday morning, pouring rain and nobody around..... and spending 45 mins to get your rig home for free wasn't a bad option, as opposed to the calling a tow truck maybe getting a ticket and a stupid big towing bill to get it home...

But i went out to this new wheeling area to me, just wanting to see what its like, after about an hour driving west, we figured out we were lost, and that our map that we had didnt go that far west...so we decided to try to go up this one hill and run the ridge instead of making more az pin stripping in the paint... i started up the hill, but since im only 2wd i couldnt make it. so i started to back down slowly...
for some reason the rear end did not want to stay straight...so i slid over a dirt bank with about a foot drop up against a tree. A buddy who just locked his jeep said he would try to pull me up hill enough to get me out of the issue...
well he tugged several times and it didnt work. So we talked for a second, and said one final tug and if all else fails pull me out sideways... he hops in and without realizing it lets off the brakes in reverse, and comes crashing down breaking my front clip. thankfully nothing else was damaged on my vehicle. it kind of tweeked his bumper and spare tire carrier (wrongler)
and in the end was dragged out sideways.

I was present with my XJ when this happened. Me and some buddies (one with a ZJ, one with a Wrongler) hit a really nice muddy trail and I was second in the pack following the ZJ...then we look back to see our wrongler wasn't behind us. So we all climb in my Cherokee and back track for a few minutes only to discover he hit a mud hole and stalled. The best part was when we went to pull him out in the ZJ and I had to tell my friend the most torque would come from 4L and 1st gear(he just looked at me like I was stupid and tried it in 4H and 3rd gear). We were in the woods for 2 hours trying to dry out the Wrangler's air filter enough to get the engine running.

and btw i love how neat your tools are in this pic....thats how mine always start also nice CLEAN garage i wish i could say the same lol
actually I use it to mark trails with ribbon from time to time
