I am considering getting into some regional/linehaul driving work. I previously was a garbage man here just outside of Chicago, been unemployed since Dec.8th, I have my CDL-A license with tanker doubles and triples Endorsement, just received my letter from homeland security to test for Haz Mat. Was wondering if anybody here was a Commercial driver, or does any Over the road work?? Have questions regarding "Company Training", contracts, opinions on what company's are better to start with. Also, home time, being that i have a wife, married for 7.5 yrs, have a 3.5 year old and one due here in early Aug., so home time is important.
