Not sure if these seats are leather or not but they are almost perfect with a nice "Cherokee Classic" embroidered on the headrest. What can I say about the tire carrier but that it is the first one I have ever seen.
A few years ago, I rebuilt one of those tire carriers and sold it on ebay. The two main issues with it are the tire mount, and the brass bushings in the hinge, both of which get damaged if the carrier is loaded heavy or bounced around. They are not very sturdy.
The seats are leather and look really good no cracking to them. The tire carrier they made two different styles both are really only good for a oem size tire.
Nice find on the leather seats they look really good, wish I had a nice set like them. SCORE!!
The Tire Carrier they are only good for a stock size tire and even then had known issues. I personally would not install it. What I would do is clean it up good and paint it then place it on eBay, this web site and other Cherokee sites.
If you need a rear tire carrier bumper buy one later when you must for larger tires and yes we all end up going with larger tires/rims.
Just out of curiosity how much did you pay for the seats? I've been wanting to buy a rear seat for my xj but I'm afraid it will be expensive at a junkyard.

I did notice some movement in the hinge area when I pulled it. Where would you find parts for something like that?

I paid $90 for the whole set. A few months ago I let a nice leather set slip by and wish I hadn't so I grabbed these as soon as I seen them.

I bought a tire mounting plate from one of the fabrication houses and welded it to the stand. That increased the upper strength quite a bit.
Replacement bushings were bought from the dealer, part number 83507112 for a set of all four. It was a little complicated for me, they had incorrect parts in the bag, and I had to wait a while for Jeep to get the right parts from one of their suppliers and then to the dealer. The last I heard, the parts had since been discontinued. I suppose a machine shop could carve new ones from hdmp or something but it would cost a bit.

The fabricator/welder that we use here where I work will be in tomorrow and I am going to see what he would charge to straighten the tire mount and maybe put some braces on it to strengthen it up. Thinking about powder coat, not sure what I am going to do about the bushings yet, I will figure something out.
Just curious, do you remember what you got out of the one you posted on ebay?
