Default Newer XJ to pull parts from

Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well. My brother had a 2001 Jeep XJ while he lived in the city with me. He has since moved and didn't take the XJ with him. Since the XJ has been sitting for so long, my parents have decided to just donate the car. I have a 96 XJ that I love dearly. Before they donate the car, they asked me if there were any parts I wanted to pull off it to use on my XJ.

So, I wanted to ask the Cherokee forum, are there any clear parts my 96 XJ would benefit from upgrading to the 01 XJ part?

Thanks y'all.

What rear diff is in the '01 and in yours?
If you have a D35 and the '01 has an 8.25 might want to consider that.
Pretty sure the seats are a straight bolt in if they happen to be in better shape and you can deal with the color.
Bolt pattern for the wheels is the same so if the wheels are nicer then yours.
Don't quote me on this but pretty sure I have read about guys putting '97 and up mirrors on '96 and down.
They seem to like them better but I used to own a '96 and don't really recall having a problem with the mirrors so.....
Again don't quote me on this but I think I have also read about guys swapping the headliners from '97 and up to '96 and down.
Gets rid of the separate speaker bar and kinda cleans it up a little I guess.
Then there are all the little bits that you could possibly need at some point in time.
Problem with that is no matter what you grab to maybe use in the future when the time comes you won't have what you need.
Whole time swearing at yourself thinking "Why didn't I grab that from the '01."
LOL.
