Hey Guys:
New to the forum and need a quick answer to a possible new to me xj, problem is it's a 2wd , question to the forum is.
How hard to convert to 4wd? I know add front axle, transfer case & drive-line, plus lift while there. Oh its a 5speed stick by the way
What do you think the cost would be ( I'll be doing all the work myself)
Is this something worth the effort?
Thanks in advance guys, Great forum by the way!!

Cost me around $450 for the whole thing. Easiest thing to do with a 5 speed is to find a wrecked Jeep from close to your year (search to see which 5 speed 4x4 trannys will work with your year), swap your parts, sell your 2wd stuff, part out the wrecked Jeep, then wheel it.
