I wish I had a picture, but it had a scratch on the bumper and a small dent in the hatch.

And he still thinks Land Rovers are better! He gets more steering wheel wobbles at highway speed, worse gas mileage, more expensive parts, and less offloading capabilities. And he tells me IM ignorant? He doesn't know what a differential is. And he thinks land rovers were made before Jeeps. Lol

Ykydaxj when you have several known issues on your jeep and take it wheeling anyways, "they can't really get any worse"

They flex more than that. But they do suck...mostly. They are way better for long distance stuff, than the XJ. But the Toyota Land Cruiser in NGO/UN guise is the way to go, if you have the money.

Ykydaxjw you FINALLY replace your non existent fan shroud with a brand new fan shroud, and it makes your day.

He's in a bad place with insurance because it was on a salvage title, he couldn't get full coverage so all repairs are out of pocket. This is his second accident in 2 months and his license is suspended.
I do have to admit it is a nice ride on road, and it feels good to drive mostly because the seating position, but I'd never wheel one, without serious mods that is.

A guy in a Land Rover was broken down in our parking lot a couple days ago... made my day to simply roll on over in the Jeep (I was leaving to go home) and simply ask "Hey, you need some help?" Felt even better when he mentioned he's just losing all his fluids, and that Land Rovers are just like that, one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong, I even tried being nice by saying "Yea, it's kinda the same with Jeeps sometimes," made my day when all he could say was that Jeeps are more reliable.

The prototype Land Rover (1948) was made with a surplus MJ chassis and axles.

Earlier this year, I went to watch the Red Arrows (the Royal Air Force's display team), which involves driving through a very wet, very steep hill every year. I was driving next to a a brand-new £80,000 Range Rover on 20" rims. He was slipping and sliding everywhere, whilst the computer on his pile-of-crap tried to figure out what to do, whilst I just cruised passed him without a hint of slip.

At the same event last year there was a woman in a similar Range Rover, who was still in the field 2 hours after it had finished, because the electrics were playing up on her heap-o-junk.

Every year I go there, there are Land/Range Rovers either broken down or stuck, and every year the XJ just gets through it all effortlessly. It always makes me so proud!

Sorry to go off-topic!

YKYDAXJW you're a university student, and you only have £1.20 in your bank account whilst you wait to get paid and for your student loan to come through, yet you're still driving your XJ!

When you finally get to park next to that xj you've seen at school all year!
