bad MAP sensor, loose electrical connector at the map sensor, or a vacuum leak in the line running to it.

My map sensor has only like 10k miles on it. Off to Google to find that article on testing it again.

Think the map sensor issue would change with vehicle incline? I only ask because my issue does. As soon as I hit a certain incline the Jeep bogs out like its fighting against 100mph winds. I slow down from 65 to 30 every time I drive up my mountain. I cruise all the way up it with peddle left to spare, but as soon as I hit the one spot of the hill that is just a tad more steep than the rest it's like the flip of a switch.

YKYDAXJW your hammer is used more often than your dent puller. =)

you're retarded. You're supposed to be helping jeeps get a better rep, not ruining it

You know you drive an XJ when you trade a VR6 Jetta with 86K miles for an 89 XJ with 328K miles straight across, and regret none of it.

Lol if you think of it we always have bad reps, tracking mud back to the house, always working on it at all hours of the day and night and the best leaving oil stains everywhere we go. Haha

Lmao.... Don't get me started on freakin' oil leaks. Very early this spring I fixed my last oil leak. Not a single drip until the other day. My transfer case seal went again.... Like it does EVERY fall. Luckily though it did it early in the season when it's not 40 degrees and falling. I can't stand leaving little drips everywhere I go.

YKYDAXJW you come back from a two week vacation and the very first thing you do when you get home is give your Jeep a big ole' hug. I travelled for 18 hours solid that day and came home to start working on the Jeep. =) Talk about withdrawl......

You know you drive an XJ when you pull into a salvage yard and they already have a pile of XJ parts pulled for you.

...when you point at every other XJ and say "JEEP!" so much that your gf whacks you.

...when the people at the woodchip dump don't say a word when you "test the 4 wheel drive" on the 40' pile of woodchips.

...the body falls apart before the driveline does.

...when you specifically go out in bad snowstorms just for the chance to put the 4wd to good use.
