when hood release cable has broke twice and now your going with hood pins

If you take your MFS apart and clean off the black grease use new dielectric and put it back together it works just fine. That's what I did today

When you buy a cable off a buddy and go to fix it, after trying for an hour the hood release doesn't budge so your dad puts his weight into the cable pull and it pops, lubes up the release mechanism and it works great! Buddy already ordered another one and can't return so I am stuck with the part still in the plastic

You know you drive an XJ when you see another one on the highway/parking lot you try and get as close as you can or park next to it
