The dent my leaf spring left on the hood was priceless though. I've had two accidents in my life, both were on my birthday... This was one of them.

To stay on topic: You know you drive an Xj when you hit a pothole and wonder is the bang of your short arms being forced up into the unibody is as loud outside as it is inside your rig.
Happy birthday. (If this happened today of course)

Haha, thank you but my birthday is indeed March 23rd. The accident with the Pontiac was March 23, 2010. On March 23, 2011 some smart guy in a Mercedes decided to drive across my traffic lane to pull into a parking lot.... Right in front of me. $54,000 in damage to the mercedes, $3,100 worth of damage to my Jeep. Spent half of my birthday in the hospital with a shattered scapula (shoulder blade) from the seat belt impact and the other half of the day sleeping from the meds they gave me. Driver of the Mercedes suffered from a broken wrist and several cuts to the side of his face because my grill came through his passenger side window and hit him. The driver of the Mercedes was 18 years old and already had nine accidents on his record. This made accident number 10. 45mph accident, the only thing that kept me from driving the Jeep home was that my alternator had been shattered and my bottom rad support was jammed into the crank pulley and mechanical fan.

You know you drive an Xj when the paint on your hood looks like it got really sunburned and is now peeling.

when "One of the first moves Bernhard made when he came to Chrysler in 2000 was to help kill the Jeep Cherokee, an aging, somewhat bland SUV."[10] Thus, the (XJ) Cherokee line was replaced in 2002 by the Jeep Liberty (KJ)" offends you

When you have a minor front end collision (Rear ended and pushed into the vehicle in front) and the unibody rail is caved in. The bumper wasn't even pushed back to the front tire on the side of the collision.

I still love my Jeep.

Should read...
One of the first moves Bernhard blundered upon when he came to chrysler was to shelve the popular, reliable, and well selling Jeep cherokee, and replace it with a dopey looking p.o.s deemed with the unearned moniker: Liberty.
I hate Bonehead so much.

When you go to the range and everyone else is shooting at regular targets, while yours is a picture of Wolfgang Bernhard, and you find your shooting a little more accurate than usual.

you know you drive an xj when your wheelin in the mountains, your stock size tire blows, and you have to wheel another 2 miles on a doughnut and then drive 60 to get home. and you do it all with no issue.
