Would that add to my clunk noise situation?
Because im not able to take the top and bottom of my tire and rock it in and out and I thought that was a sign of a bad ball joint.
Also if it exists would I be able to buy a kit of all new bushing for the front end? Or would it be something along the lines of order all of the individual ones?

Sure it could. Check for play. That tie rod end is replaceable. It needs to be replaced anyway I'd say since the grease boot is torn and the ball joint inside of it is probably all ****ed up.
So far I'm looking at buying new ball joints. Not sure how many but I'm thinking of replacing both sides. By the sounds of it new tie rod ends, also not sure how many but for both sides. And new u-joints for the front and the drive shaft.
Im just trying to get a parts list going of specifics.
Also should I jack it up to check for play? There isn't any when its on the ground. I can jiggle the axle where it meets the u-joint.

Oh right on so what would I be looking up to get that part?

Ermmm that's the tie rod end that goes from the drag link to the pitman arm. When exactly are you getting the clunking noise? Does it happen when you're sitting still and turn the wheel? Only when you're moving and turning? Give us specifics. The tie rod end on the other end of the drag link isn't replaceable. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Sounds like a combination of things to me. Have somebody turn the wheel while you're under the jeep and watch the pitman arm and tie rod ends.
