Default NEW Paint Whatya Think?

I know Camo is somewhat overdone and over rated but for some reason i love it for many reasons... ( cheap, easy, covers ALOT, can be touched up, Looks decent) Did this for $32 including the cost for tape and a 6 pack . Here are a few pictures from when i bought it (2 months ago) and of it this weekend. Let me know what you think!

went to walmart and picked up 6 Cans of Krylon for indoor/outdoor use, 2 of each color. Deffinately get 3 of each 2 was barely enough and most of the roof i had to do black with other cans i found around the house. If i were to do it again make SURE you spend the extra $1 a can and get the rust-o-leum paint the Krylong Blows Donkey D*** its almost like it is water based and covers terribly but evenyually we seemed to make it look halfway decent just take your time do it in 3 or 4 light coates and blend. I also lightly sanded the paint with a cheap palm sander and some 120 grit paper to get rid of junk on the paint and cut the 17 year old clear coat a bit.

I think it looks cool! The fact that you didn't have to take out a loan to do it and you did it yourself makes it cooler.

I like it a lot!! I really want to do my XJ camo. It's got the white body with gold trim, but I'd paint the trim and bumpers black, then do gray and black over the white body. Wish I knew how though.. or had the guts to just try. Did you use any templates or anything?

That is sick camo. Most camo sucks in my opinion for a Cherokee just cuzz it looks junky and dull but this made your xj come alive and it looks great! Did you prime it first? Or just sand it?

Thanks Guys! No i did not use any sort of a template just me and a friend (a few beers) plus the spray cans.... trick is to start with the black and end with the black it does not overspray as much as the colors do and leaves a better transition. Here is my previous jeep before my last XJ its a wrangler on a CJ Tub this was my first attempt on Camo i just think it makes any truck a little different than the Norm.

I did not Prime it just used 120 grit paper to sand out some of the clear coat and scuff it up. Im sure i could have done a more proffesional and long lasting job by doing all the bodywork sanding and priming but no point when beating around the woods. It is extremely easy to touch up the way i did it without looking like it was... Total paint time was about 4 hours between taping it up sanding painting drying painting again.

Looks pretty good. I hate how people paint everything the same color. Like the door handles, fender flares, trim.
