New (to me) XJ
Hey guys, its been awhile since ive been on here... I just picked up at 94 XJ 4.0 4dr... Has some common issues, leaking tranny cooling line at the coupling up front, needs new "draglink" coming from the pitman arm, and new tracbar... It also needs a nss, as itll has to be in nuetral to start sometimes... I picked it up for 400... My plan is to make a capable rig with good road manners... open to suggestions especially on the lift and tires. I dont mind trimming a little, i just dont want it to look hacked... plans for now:
3 or 4.5 inch lift (cant decide)
32x11.50 or 33's,. Depending on lift height
Maybe lsd or select locker in rear
Possibly regear to 456
Replacement bumpers
Winch
Lots of led lightbars

If it were me, I would focus on armor and recovery first. "lockers get you into trouble, winches get you out", LOL...Then focus on tires and gearing, then lift.

This first photo is my 99 the day I bought it with a crappy 3" lift and 31x10:50x15" tires on it, 3.55 gears, it needed some work to say the least.
This is it with a 4 1/2" lift 33x12:50x15's, locked front and rear with 4.56 gears and a few extra's.
There is a significant cost difference between a 3 and 4 1/2" lifts if done properly to keep in mind.

Thank yall for posting... I know that I am not going over 33's because i really dont trust these axles on 35's... I am also figuring in the lower center of gravity with only going 3 inches... I know that a 4.5 lift opens another can of worms, so I may go 3 for now and see if im satisfied with it (probably wont be lol)... hell idk... i welcome all opinions/facts/pics on the subject
