New Jeep
Well here goes the story....
About this time 4 months Ago , My Cherokee was a part time Driver, My Wife had a Chevy Venture and I had a Saturn LS1 that was my Daily Driver to get back and forth to work. The Venture was a Lemon... constant issues with the cooling system so we decided to sell it ... didn't get that much for it so I gave my wife my Saturn and pressed the XJ into full time daily Driver duty .... now forward to about 3 weeks ago last Saturday..... my wife was going to the store and some guy in a F-150 ran a red light and hit her right in the rear quarter causing her to loose control and hit a pole. The car was totaled. Here are some pics to show how bad the damage is...
My wife was OK and my kids were not in the car, which how she got out of that with only a few scratches and a sprained wrist is beyond me. However, after 2 weeks of battling with the Insurance company we got video from a local business of the crash which was great! We submitted it and eventually won our battle. Now with money in hand it was time to find her a new vehicle. I wanted her to get a newer XJ but there was resistance as she didn't like ow boxy they were ... but she wanted a SUV (or as she put it something beefier)... so it came down to something like a Explorer, Grand Cherokee, or Blazer/Trailblazer. After looking around we settled on a 1996 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 100k on the odo.
That is really the only pic I have so far of it ... We picked it up Saturday and then Hurricane Sandy hit on Monday, so I really haven't even got to wash it yet... but hopefully this weekend I'll get it cleaned up at least and hopefully next week I'll get it to work to check it out fully.
