new here so i'll show my cherokees
Helllo I'm a new member here, been cruising the site for a while finally decided to join up. Here are my cherokees
pulling the 92 home from mn
front 2 inch lift
rear lift with bast@rd pack flex
home brew front bumper. and yes it actuallly ties into the frame over a foot back.
daylight through motor after hydrolocking the engine
the newly aquired cherokee after said motor destruction. super cheap already had lift front and rear long arms 32 swampers and a reman motor for about scrap price. had to hotwire it to make it run but it was worth it.
the wife wanted a little different look so we spent $10 on paint
thats a few pics for now so far liking the cherokees they are somewhat new to me. I started wheeling some years ago with mid 80's nissan with 33
s moved up to a 4wd 3/4 chevy with 38's that kept eating motors like they were free, then got married and part of the marriage was that i had to get into jeeps, already had a few jeeps by that point in my life but never actually used them usually they did not run or i had other wheels. Kind of digging how the cherokees go and the fact that the front is a 5 link and the parts are readily available. I'll probly have a few questions hopefully I can find what i need in the faq, but sometimes my brain goes into overload when i start thinking about the jeep and i can't even think straight. with that being said i'll start with my first question.
Can a wrangler fuel tank from a 4.0 be mounted inside the cab with the wrangler sending unit and fuel pump? thanks in advance for the help

well after the last run i punched a hole in the fuel tank so something was in need of a change. so i picked up a fuel cell/tank for a boat and installed it like this. its not 100% done at this point but it is running.
new filler location
also i used a toyota pickup fuel pump as it was easiest to bolt down without creating a giant hole in the tank and having to patch it.

I think a quick safety briefing is in order:
Warning having a non-EPA certified gasoline tank in an unapproved location could cause dangerous fumes and even more dangerous explosions. Furthermore, any turbulent driving should be strictly avoided.
okay, that should cover any legal problems.

It is a safety rated fuel tank. It has the same vent for the filler neck that the factory puts on and it also has a roll over vent. In my opinion it's no different than if someone moves the factory tank and sinks it into the floor.

I thought about doing the same thing to my jeep but I didn't know about how the fumes would do. So I decided to not risk brain damage and forget it. Not saying this will happen to you but if I did it it would definitely happen to me lol

had a good time wheeling yesterday though. about 10 rigs in all 3 cherokees, 5 yotas, 1 ford, and a samuri.
heres mine, had to pound the mud/slush off with a hammer when we got home
a 97 cherokee my buddy runs
and a 90 cherokee getting pulled off course. all three cherokees got stuck in this hole
