I recently joined your site. I just bought a 1996 cherokee and in the process of modifying it. I replaced all fluids ,rebuilt front end, 5 ' lift 31' tires etc. I am going to be building 2x6 front and rear bumpers and rock sliders ,I have build these before ( I have a full fab shop at home) My question is the 2' hitch receiver guys build into the rear bumper, where do you access the hitch pin ?i have been looking thru all the previous posts on bumpers. great site , great builds and vehicle, lots of good info. Thanks Eric.

Just build it so the reciever tube is out far enough that the hole is accessible

That would be the obvious way, all the pictures I see shows no hole , and I do not want anything to hang too far back. I am already scraping my bumper on some of the dips I go thru.Eric

I have see it where you have to crawl under and pin it from behind. Not that hard, but you do have to crawl on your back, but it sure makes for a cleaner look and mor departure angle...if even just a little!
