I heard that jeep was bringing back the Cherokee, so I looked it up and saw this. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2014-...photo-5660552/ This too me does not look like a Cherokee but a Jeep Compass luxury SUV. What is it with the cadillac fancyness today on cars? They should of rebuilt the same frame model Cherokee with a few small updates like they did in 1997 to it.
What is your thoughts about this? Im still going to keep my Classic boxy real Cherokee.
I wouldnt even mind if they brough over the China 2500 Cherokee model.

has to meet epa fuel mileage standards, and boxy design wont do it. frankly speaking, if they introduced the old boxy design they would be the laughing stock of the industry. except perhaps in some third world nation

If Mercedes can build this, a solid axle, 3 locking differential, 14 mpg twin turbo V8 monster: then Jeep can figure something out that doesn't totally desecrate the Cherokee name.

I think everyone can agree that within the last few years jeep went down hill. They no longer build rough, rugged, all terrain vehicles that can go anywhere ad do anything. They no longer build for the same kind of people. Most people today to go out and purchase jeeps to build them up and beat the crap out of them. They buy ten for a daily driver with luxury, heated seats GPS nav, sunroofs, and power locks. The new 2014 Cherokee doesn't deserve the name.

Well most places are now turing into city and streets and you see less and less dirt gravel roads anymore today. atleast in my area now, No more woods around me..
I wouldnt be surprised to see the wrangler disapear in the next few years, or turned into the last make hummers look, Luxury.
The new Cherokee looks like a Toyota. http://suvbuzz.com/wp-content/upload...oyota-RAV4.jpg

I think if anything, the new Cherokee should of been the Jeep Patriot. It looks almost the same as the Cherokee only with round lights and same in size. Probably the closes we'l come to the Cherokee of today.

I would not be upset if they rebadged the Patriot as the Cherokee and called the new thing, er, something else.
