with any Jeep XJ (and others), the purchase price is the least of your worries. Gonna want a least a few grand to get parts and items fixed and upgraded.

X2... It sounds like you have a pretty good base (not much rust). Everything else is replaceable except for the body. The noise when you are turning could also be a bad axle u-joint.

Have any other hobbies or spare cash? You won't for long.

Is the parts Jeep also an 87 to 90? It would be better for you if it was, at least in the underhood compatibility section.

I love buying cheap old Jeeps! But they are a pain in the butt!!!!! They never work right, something is always broken, and you're constantly trying to find time and money to fix them.

If its going to be your primary source of transportation ..... don't do it!!!

If its a project vehicle to play with, then DO IT NOW!!!!!

i think im going to buy it and try and do the motor swap the jeep is a 92 not a 94 and it sounds like i would have to swap over the intake and manifolds and relocate some sensors i think i can get the jeep bought for the 500 with the motor form the 92 and some other parts and pieces
