any help on how to do this?

It's the sensor to the right of the throttle blade. I believe it has torx screws holding it on.

How do you know you need to replace it? What did you do to dianose it as bad?

Unplug it, take two torks screws. Put new one on(mopar imo) replace two screws, plug back in n your good to go. I have a V8 one on mine. Lol
