need new floor

i was under the back of my xj today to put a hitch on and i noticed that i have two big holes in my floor and i have floor showing goin right down my frame rails

.my question is what thickness in sheet metal should i get?

16 gauge should be fine

thanks bro. and thanks again on the hitch info. i picked it up today. i slid it onto the frame to make sure it fit and it sits nice and close to the bumper. putting it on tomorrow
