Default Need more power

I have a 1996 xj and I think either something is wrong or I need more power because my buddies 88 xj wagoneer smokes me in a race anytime! If anyone knows how I can fix this please let me know

My sisters 96 smokes mine. But nothing wrong with my motor. Some are just slower than others.

Real cold air intake, bored throttle body, injectors, exhaust. Many things may help

I'm getting new injectors don't know wich ones to get thoe I was looking at the Bosch flow matched ones I found on eBay there the 4 hole ones to

Nah look up performance injectors. Let me see if I can find the link. And injectors won't cause a 5 hp gain or anything but you might notice better response

Check out stroked jeep or Leigh performance machine. One of those, they ha e best prices.

Sorry to be off topic but I have a 1990 xj and when im driving fast i can here a clacking noise then when i slow down it squeaks really bad. It sounds like its coming from around the front drivers side wheel but im not sure, anyone know?

Butterfly? No a bored throttle body is direct bolt on.
