Default need ideas for lifting jeep

well im about to get my project going, and i cant seem to find jack stands tall enough to keep my body in the air while i remove the axles....any suggestions?...needs to be strong and sturdy enough to work under

Go to harbor freight and get some 6 ton jack stands, and if you are subscribed to a bunch of offroad magazines like I am than you can find a coupon to get 2 stands for $30. I own some and they are pretty nice

I agree with wiggles, they also come in motorcycle magazines too. I mean **** look on the computer for coupons OR ok you ready I just thought of this one while I was typing this , when u walk into harbor fright they should have a rack with a few pages of all of there coupons and sale items. Well that's how it is here at least lol. Good luck though

thx man...so 6 tons are the tall ones that i seen at a buddys garage? i noticed theres 2 sizes usually, big and small

no harbor freight here...but i plan to pick it up localy...so no internet shopping

Go out to your jeep and measure from the grount to a good lifting point on the "frame" rail. For me at 4.5 with 32's its like 19 inches. Then add like 6-9 inches so its off the ground. So for me stands that are like 16"- 28" are perfect

I like those double lock jack stands. Give you more peace of mind when going under the vehicle.

I have some 6 ton Jack stands from Harbor Freight they were tall enough for me to roll the axles out of my buddy's YJ that is SOA and on 37's.
