Ok I was driving today and saw a snow covered hill that I wanted to climb, I put it in 4hi and went for it there was a little hopping but seemed pretty normal. Right after going up the hill something didn't seem right but I had to go to work, while driving there was a little bit of knocking what seemed like under me. After I got off it was much worse, when in drive but sitting still I could feel and hear a like grinding noise. Any help is extremely appreciated.

 

Is it locked into 4hi? If you have in back in 2wd then it should act normal unless you got something jammed into the transfer case or linkage. May require a crawl under the Jeep.

 

I went under and didn't see a thing I checked the oil level in the tc and it was almost full so I don't have a clue and its my dd so I have a big issue

 

Ok I'm trying to take the cover off but there is that one little bolt on the top and I can't get it out and it has been drenched in pb
