After 500+ hours of work, sweat, blood lost, and spending over $10K, I now have an XJ that vibrates all to Hell, sounds like a front and rear wheel is about to fall off, and with a blown power steering pump.
Damn. It takes a ton of dedication to restoring an XJ. Hats off to those that have done it successfully!
All the failing parts have been installed within the last 12 months. Power steering pump isn’t 10 months old.
Blown pump is a AutoZone reman. Succccckkks.
I think the made-in-China Yukon hardware is failing on the front wheel. Not sure of the rear.
Getting really sick and tired of the failing made-in-china crap.
I haven’t even wheeled the XJ yet.
🤣😡

I have an autozone remanufactured power steering pump in my Subaru. It too leaks everywhere and sometimes the mounting hardware backs out. That's what I get for buying the cheaper option. At least a Mopar pump would be cheaper than $700, so just be glad the "more expensive option" for you is a Mopar part, not a Subaru part. Or... a BMW part...

Tried four different sets of shims. One inch TC drop. All kinds of other gyrations.
