Good morning,
I was wondering if anyone might have advice on how to find a new chrome plate for the hatch of my 2011 jeep grand Cherokee. The cheapest quote I can get around Columbia, mo to get the scratch and chrome fixed is $511 ($200 of the price being the chrome plate the rest being the paint repair and labor) which seems a bit high to me but maybe that is about normal? All the junk yards I called will not sell just the plate - they want me to buy the whole door. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

It's a jeep, if you wheel it it should have a few battle scars. Did a shopping cart hit it?

 

On the painted part you can try one of them touch up paint pens most auto part stores carry.The chrome piece will have to be replaced look on ebay or a used one.
