Ya Im gonna give that guy at the boarder till 12-noon. If I dont Have a title in the mail and he hasnt submitted the paper work. Ill call all the lawyers In my area and his.
Can this null and void the sell even if it happened 3 years ago? Im going to Find some lemon forums and read up!
I fell cheated out of information that should be presented to me at the time of purchase, Due to a clerical error or not. To present me with a new title would be like him handing me the jeep agian in the shape it is hahahaha should I be careful about that?

Mexico is were it would have been flooded and rebuilt. I think these south point dealers bank on this. How do I see service records from mexico??? Who would obligate them to make records? Why do I fell Screwed?

I bought a 90 parts Xj 3 years back and it came with a busted ignition cylinder and no title. Before I handed over the cash I called the local police dept and told them the situation and they ran a stolen vehicle check on the vin right there on the phone. The 89 trail rig I am building will most likely be non-titled. The registered owner sold it to buyer a, who then sold it to buyer b, who then sold it blah blah blah. Short of the story is I have a title with one name and a bill of sale with another.

If you ran a Carfax report on both vins and neither came back as stolen, then it most likely is not. It would still be a good idea to have the police run the vins to be sure because Carfax can only report what is reported to them.

I Dont want to go to the police. I think If I have to go that far Id get a lemon lawer from there area to just walk in there and tell them im willing to settle because they are over there heads.
1)My jeep cherokees title does not match the Jeep.
2)Both vins match seperate "jeep" carfaxes.
3)The jeep has undocumented repairs. Rebuilt engine ,plastic panels etc.
4)It is from a questionable location "brownsville".Thats as close to mexico and these problems you get.
5)Title remarks,"Actual milage rebuilt salvage-loss unknown".<Wrong title? actual Mileage 173k.

They sold it at a place that makes 1Million profit a year!

Ps: winston repair it three times with the 3800 series 2 <Gasket

Well wait a minute here... The Dealer said he is going to do you right and get to the bottom of this. I say give him a chance to explain then go ballistic... In the mean time I'd be gathering information he doesn't know you have by going to the Dealer and having him run the VIN. Do you have a Dealer where you know someone? Maybe you could tell the Dealer the story so they would help you out by running the VIN. You could ask him to run the VINS and say "just tell me if you see anything funny" that way you work into a conversation with him... Buy him a Pop and by the time you leave you walk out of there with all the info you need. Maybe some good clues.
Then go to the alleged Bum that sold it to you (it may have been an honest mistake, innocent until proven guilty) and don't tell him what you know. See what history and story he comes up with and see if it matches the story you piece together with the info you have.
Then go ballistic!

A Lawyer needs the facts to work with. I'd gather the facts first. I believe he said he's driven this Jeep for 3 years. Gather the facts and go to the Lawyer with a story. Believe me I know Lawyers and you will save a lot of money.
On the other hand I agree it would not hurt to consult with one first. The first consultation is generally free.
Another thing you could do that was suggested is go to the Cops. That is what they are there for...
Of course the Dealer you bought the car from may have a sneaky way to incriminate you... I don't see how but who knows!

Other than the title with the incorrect vin, do you have any paperwork from the dealer when you purchased the vehicle? If so, look through all of it and check for any vins. It may have been a mistake and you may have the paperwork for someone elses Jeep. The Carfax report should show the dates for each transfer of title and the state/country in which the transaction took place.
