Well I picked this beauty up for $25 at a local you pick yard. My XJ is about as basic as they come (except it has power mirrors?), So I am getting it to my liking. I'll tell you what, scraping the foam from the headliner fabric sucked.

And I cracked it taking it out of the donor XJ so I had to fiberglass the cracks.

Then I had the pleasure of scraping all of the headliner foam off.
Part way done:

Finished up with a Scotch brite pad:

I was hoping I could just paint it, but once I get the speakers and know how they fit or if it will need trimming, I think I am going to cover it with fabric.

Sorry about the messy shop, Apparently my dad has been building stuff (like that rocking chair)

I saw there were wires on the harness for the rear speakers. I am hoping they are ran underneath the drivers side trim in the rear just infront of the hatch. I haven't pulled the trim yet to see. Its been too cold to do much outside, and I am usually working on the decent days.

Oh, and after looking at this again, apparently there is still a layer of glue on there that needs to b sanded off if I paint it.
