So I couldn't post this without pics of the ride..here she is after a bath

and again

Since these were taken I removed the molding and bedlined the rockers. Also pounded out the dents (whoops, tree) in the front bumper and painted both bumpers flat black.
I got about $500 to drop on this bad boy...trying to figure out what I want to spend it on. If it was yours, what would you do first? Bumpers, lift....??

It's Chili Pepper Red! It's not purple!!! ARRGGHH!!! (right? does it really look purple? hrmmm)
Yeah, those are brand new Destination A/T's..235/75/16's...think I will probably keep them for a while. I'm torn between a lift and some new bumpers.....JCR keeps pulling me to their site anytime I'm near a computer...

I was thinking a budget lift and find some good used A/T's or Mud tires... Could possibly trade those you have on there for some.. I wanted to do a lift first... no... that didnt happen, ive ended up building bumpers, fixin to start on sliders and also bought 35"s for it... And still no lift lol.. If i were you, if that thing is a daily driver id go ahead and do some armor upgrade like bumpers and so forth first.. Oh and also, trim those fenders!

I put the fender flares back on after painting them to appease the wife. But I can't stand them any longer, so those are coming off this weekend. It is my DD and every other weekend makes a 300 mile trip. Only 103k on her. Think I will do the bumpers and such first...maybe try to squeeze out $150 for some s10 leaf packs and ZJ coils/spacers, just got 2-2.5" bastard budget for now. Thanks for the tips =)

If it was me, I'd just simply paint ur bumpers Flat Black, Trim ur front fenders and put some flat black flares on them. And buy a set of used A/T. And pull the dent out of the bumper, nevermind leave it, whats a jeep if it aint been broke in?, Buy some Daylighters, or Some HELLA Brand, they work just as good, I bought them at Wal Mart 2 For 26 bucks. Hope i Helped, But $500 you can do alot for a jeep, Just have fun and be safe.

Front and back bumpers are flat black. I knocked the dent out of the front one, you can't even tell it was jacked. I painted the fender flares flat black and reinstalled them....but now I'm thinking of removing and trimming. Herculined rocker panels and lower rear quarters as well. I got some newer pics of how it looks now I will put up tomorrow morning.
Guess my biggest conundrum is.....bumpers/sliders....or lift. Could prolly do sliders and bastard pack/zj coil and spacer lift.....maybe I will go that route.

i would snag a 2in budget boost,a drop shackle and maybe some v8 grand cherokee coils since they give you an inch of lift in the front and you can get em at the boneyard for $20.

Yeah I'm offroading it. It's an XJ...is not offroading it an option?
I got a guy I work with bringing me the factory front tow hooks off an XJ he is parting out. I really need a hitch too, to tow my trailer. Probably do rear bumper/sliders to start, and throw in the budget boost for now. Sliders will help my two 5yr olds climb in and out too..heh.

hooks sliders and rear bumper is exactely what I would do with 500 bux... actually, that is what I did do.
and, there are a lot of folks who modify their rigs and do not off road.

Thanks Mike, for the validation. And I know guys fix up their rigs and don't offroad them....but I bet those rigs sit in the mall parking lot and cry a little bit
Idaxj...if I can find it in the budget to get new wheels, I would prolly sell these to ya for the price of shipping. Will keep you in mind if you would be interested in that
