Default My recent purchase

After my recent problems I had on my 97 xj I had to let 'The old fella' go. But I bought a 2002 KJ

I have done a few usual checks
New engine oil
Checked diff oil level
Replaced transfer case oil
New air filter
Repaired damaged grill
Repaired a few damaged parts of bodywork
I have a leak from axle tube into rear drum so will have to replace this soon. It's not running onto brake shoe so not too worrying .

Idk what was wrong with your XJ, but it must have been terrible to make you buy a liberty

Wonder if any of these other people that posted have ever owned a liberty or even drove one? We had one to go along with our Xj,TJ and WJ. Was a pretty good little vehicle.

It's all in fun, don't take it too seriously.

Why do people not like the Liberty successor to the XJ? No one even mentions it on the forums. I guess I am on "Cherokee" forums. Are there Liberty forums where people love their Jeep and fix it up and do mods? Are these fundamentally bad trucks, or people just don't like the styling? Will people love the Liberty when they are 10 years old and start adding lift kits, etc?

IFS front end, virtually ZERO aftermarket support, and lets be honest here....butt-ugly.

A true mall-crawler with limited possibilities to be much more without a massive infusion of cash.

LOL, mall crawler. I guess it looks like a Rav4 or CRV. Modern SUV, not a boxy truck / JEEP.
These are considered soccer mom cars, so I guess the Liberty is also. Are there ANY Liberty enthusiasts?
What do you think the kinds of people who DID buy brand new 2000 and 2001 XJ's brand new switched to? What are they buying today?

I like the Bird style. I prefer it over the xj. But I have my xj because they are so dependable and live forever. They are also a lot less in cost.
