Take a look inside your upper shackle mount area and see what you have to work with. Its a bit tight.

Make certain you will have a good shackle angle before you drill a hole.

Also welding a thick washer to the hole area would make certain to help protect the hole from wallowing out in the future. The main thing is to make a solid structure. So when you look in there you will notice the original mounting hole has a boss area that is protruding from the side.

Your new hole should have a boss also. This is what I meant by a thick washer. Then there should be plenty of room on the back side for a nut. The original just threads into the boss, yours will go all the way through. And make sure you add enough spacers to make a solid and tight fit.

You will want to drill closer to the front of the vehicle.

Looking again at your pictures. You may not have enough room to make that much of a difference.

The simple more expensive way would be to ditch the longer shackles and get you an adjustable shackle mount. It bolts right in and I believe lifts the truck 1.5in. This way your shackle angle would be perfect.

With those large springs, I really think your shackle angle is more critical.

You'll need relocation brackets then. Whoever suggested ditching your lift shackle and going that route was spot on. Just google it for pictures and you'll see what we're talking about.

And yes to clarify, we want you to remove the REAR anti-sway bar. You have disconnects up front so you can have the front one on for safety reasons on-road but disconnect it for better flex off-road.

I have extended shackles that have the right angle when attached to the current leafs so I'm going to put those back in and get coil spacers for the front to level it out. Problem solved.

If you take off your rear sway bar keep the part that bolts to the "frame" rails and use them as bar pin eliminators

It is a rod that goes through the bushing on your rear shock so you can mount it to the uni-body. Basically you put those brackets up on the stock location you mount your shocks and take out the bar-pin in your rear shock. Then get an appropriate sized bolt to go through the mount and through the bushing on your shock. It gives you a little more droop in your shock and gives you a better mounted location.
