Default My "new" '94 XJ.

So the other day i put a deposit on my dream car, and today it was delivered to my house. Only $900 and all i really have to do to it is fix it cosmetically. It's a 2wd () 1994 with 167,000 miles on it. Takes a bit on turnover before it starts, but boy does it start. It's a country, so power everything, leather seats, etc. Paint fade is pretty damn bad. It needs a new paint job. Should i keep it all stock? should i Lift it even though it isnt 4wd? i know i want to replace the seats (with ones from the same year, same color, etc). I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks! PM me if you have any parts for sale for this year, or any other year.. as long as the parts fit!

Put as little as possible in it to fix it up cosmetically, then sell it for a 4x4. No sense in owning a 4 door XJ thats 2wd UNLESS youre a soccer mom using it as a grocery getter....or poor college kid who desperately needs a vehicle to drive on dry pavement only. Its a nice looking Jeep that could be awesome.....if it were a 4x4.

Don't bother converting it, drop in a SBC & 700R4 instead.

OH, I know it can be done, but youre talking about a TON of work on a vehicle that can be found easily and cheaply. Its a ton of work so my advice is, if you need or want 4x4 (or a "built" XJ) then fix up this ole gal to look a little better, sell her for a little more than youve got in her and buy a 4x4. There are plenty of them out there in really nice shape that just need a new home and some TLC.

2wd is absolutely fine for "regular" use. But, when you start contemplating a conversion, its just not worth it on an XJ because theyre so abundant and cheap.

Lol, don't worry about it. I was just playing around. Not like I had a real unique name and somebody took it. CherokeeCountry and vice versa is pretty general and common on a forum dedicated to cherokee's.

I hate coming into 2wd topics because I feel like my XJ is reading along with me and getting its feelings hurt But the point still stands, i don't do offroading and don't have a need for 4WD.

Nice Country btw! Love the two tone.
