I went to buy another XJ yesterday. I have a 1998 XJ Sport with 201,000 miles on it. The one I went to buy was a 1999 Cherokee Classic 4x4, one owner, with 115,000 miles, mint condition (was still running 225/70/15s on it), for $3800. When I pulled up someone was buying it. GRRRRRR!!!!!!!

I was in a similar situation two years ago when I was buying my 2001 xj. Guy selling it told me to meet him at a Lowes parking lot. When I got there some 17 year old was test driving it around the lot with his dad. When I met up with them the dad only had half the money with him.(price on the xj was $3400)....I pulled out my big stash of $100 dollar bills to show the owner and the owner turned to the 17 year old and sayed...."sorry dude" i went driving home in my new xj. I officially became the second owner. Title sayed it was purchased from the dealership with 20 miles!!!! =O First pic I ever took when I first got it.
