Put the car seat on the passenger side. When the time comes, and he is grown, you'll have to flip that seat around... And what will be 4" from his little feet? Your back seat. You'll thank me in about 2 years or so.

 

congrats passenger seat rear is where i put our 2year old when i use other peoples rig. In my jeep i put a passenger seat in the middle upagainst my half cage so she has the safest spot in the rig and can see where we are going on the trails. she has enjoyed it alot.
some of the best moments come when I tell her to get in the jeep and she ask dad we going to play in the snow. I can help but to smile

 

X2 on the kids cost more than jeeps! I just got the bill for my kids braces. But I wouldn't trade any of it for anything! Congrats!

second I read somewhere before one of my kids was born (I have 4 kids) that the safest spot is the middle because god forbid but if you have a side impact they will have more cushion room between them and the door...but my kids are 15,13,9,8 so who knows KID Rules change every year.... He was a little guy 5 lbs 14 oz 18 inches long. Healthy and momma is doing great. Cant wait till I take him riding.
