i finally got around to doing this project, heres what i have done so far

 

i have decided to paint the headliner, what should i use so the paint doesent bubble or chip?

 

okay i went with black rustoleum, also picke up a can o red for my speaker covers and dome light housings, got it all sprayed today, looks good as new im gonna let the headliner sit over night so the paint smell will go away and ill have it on tomorrow! im so excited ill post pictures as i go tomorrow

 

Wow, havnt seen this thread in a while. So you painting on the headliner foam stuff? Or you're just leavin the headliner out and painting the roof??

 

I used a dark gray fabric when I redid mine. I also had the overhead console installed. at the same time.

 

i scraped off all the foam and painted the board, it looks really good, there was no fabric involved

i forgot to take em today ill have em up early in the am when i go to put it in, i think the fiber board gave it a good texture, the housings and dome lights might not fit as well without the foam though... oh well ill see in the morning, goodnight all!

i need to dosomething with my (still tan) visors though... ideas?



i am really happy with the way it came out, its hard and the fibers gave it a nice texture, only complaint is the paint smell ill have for the next couple days, but thats okay i usually drive with windows down anyway

P.S. i dont know why so manny of my pictures are sideways lately sorry!

yeah im really happy about the way it looks, only took three and a half cans, (half can for the domes)
