Cherokee 1997 XJ,
Searching for original or good fitting aftermarket mud flaps, however thus far no luck.
wonder whether mud flaps from a grand Cherokee of a certain year could fit?
Does any one know.
thanks in advance for the assistance.
Have been following this thread cause I was curious about what guys might have come up with.
I keep on telling you guys.
Stuff can be found out there but it takes effort.
And you would be surprised at how little you will pay sometimes.
In this case we are talking about mud flaps
These are my back up pair for my XJ. Since I have factory running boards you only use the rear ones.
I paid $35 shipped for these. Found them on Craigslist. They are just the rears but are brand new.
And no they are not for sale. I like my Jeep the way it is and if something happens to one or both I have it covered.
But it is just an example how effort can pay off.
Also check out Jeeps for sale. Sometimes you will see them in the pictures.
Don't be shy. Get in contact with the guy and see if he would part with them separately.
Won't know till you ask.

Any Napa should have a big loose leaf binder full of all sorts of stuff like this with actual pieces.
And whatever clips you decide on will tell you what size screw/bolt you need.
Those at the first link would be a 1/4"-20. Which thinking might be a good size for this.
Buy stainless for the screws/bolts.
And you will drill holes in the fender flare for the front ones and bumper caps for the back.

Im just glad someone can use them been sitting in my garage for about 10 years now. They where actually the first thing i stripped of of the jeep whem i bought it. Bought the jeep for 4 wheeling and they just got hung up on everthing. Be kinda cool knowing my old mud flaps are cruzing around on a jeep in Spain
XJ's aroundhere are rough. Usually cut up, be at to death and in the woods. Since we don't have inspections here, all of them on the road are falling apart too. Maybe if I try hard enough, I'll catch one as it flies off going down the road. I have bombed Facebook anand craigslist weekly for some time now, using tons of keywords, even misspellings trying to find decent parts
