Good buy, I have the same ones and they are nice!
I used aircraft stripper from home depot to remove the undercoating, worked very well, just spryed waited 5-10 mins, and used a scraper the take it right off. then sprayed t again and wipped it down with a rag. WAY easyer then how others try to just scrape it off. (Don't do this over your driveway it will stain it. do it over gravel/grass/dirt ect)
Its probably overkill, but i drilled a few holes in it along the side/bottom and plug welded them as well as stitch just for extra comfort.

Nervous about putting these on. I weld I took my classes but soft rusty porous metal ssucks welding to these thing are 3/16th thick steel
