I'm looking for a console for my 92, and I'm having a really hard time finding one. I've found some on jcwhitney and other websites, but they aren't direct fit and don't take into account the parking brake.

I found this on ebay, it says it's from an mj, but will fit my 92 xj. I'm having a hard time picturing whether it would fit or not. Ha anyone actually put an mj console in an xj successfully? Also the price seems high, but I'm not sure

My next step is the local jy, although everything there is pretty weathered.

It looks just like my console in my XJ, the MJ should be the same.

Looks identical to the console in my other XJ (the one you haven't seen). Once this weather clears up, you can ride over and take a look at it and we can possibly take some measurements..oh and we'll pull your vacuum..but I just remembered you have 92, which has the same console. Yours should look like this one...

I'm pretty positive the console mounting bracket on all the Jeeps is the same basic piece? The black 4 post bracket. I'd assume if that worked, and the E Brake lined up properly as well as the 4wd shifter then it should fit...

Is no one selling one out of a Jeep their parting out? I'd ride up to Salvage and see if he has one in an old parts pile or Jeep somewhere that you couldn't just give him a few bucks for, and if it's old, just repaint. Might save ya a few big ones.
