Default May have found my XJ! Good buy?

Hey there guys,
It's getting very close to the time for me to become a proud jeep owner... I have been doing a lot of shopping around and i have came across a deal which seems good to me i just want a little input maybe.
Its a 1991 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 150 000 miles on it (240 000 km) Body Is good, very little rust (i have patched up some old truck bodies in the past so bodywork isnt a big problem anyhow) and runs very smooth. No smoke and no leaks in/around the engine. Interior in very good condition as well. Very solid feeling rig when driving and no weird shakes or wobbles. Truck is not modified in any way and looks like its just been a daily driver with no signs of abuse.
The seller only wants $1200. I was looking for a mid 90's XJ in around the $3000 range but this one is in such good condition that i'm tempted to change my focus a little and that leaves money for lift/tires right away!
Any mid 90's rigs i can find have over 300 000km on them and look rougher for at least twice the price so this seems like a good buy.
Whats the opinions on the 91 model? I'm sure they are very much the same as the later ones but i'm no expert haha.
I have included a photo of the exact truck i looked at to help make it easier. The spots on the road under it seem to be from other people parking on the street as i cant find any place underneath it could be coming from the jeep.
Any help would be very appreciated!
Thanks all!

dang that's a good looking body!! I approve! I was if it runs well, take it off the guys hands! You COULD try and haggle a little, maybe shoot for 1000, but even 1200 is a steal!

Thats kind of what i figured! thanks guys! I kinda like the older ones cause they look a bit more rugged and i woulnt feel as bad for getting some dings and scratches which are bound to happen lol.
The seller works a lot so i think as soon as i can catch up to him hopefully this week i will offer him 1000 cash otherwise i wouldnt hesitate on 1200.
I'm still halfway keeping my eyes open but i do appreciate a good deal!
Thanks again for the approval!

Hi

Shame you guys can't get the UK XJ's shipped easily you can get 150k Jeeps for about $600!!

Mine has 48k and 2 owners from new and cost $1800 which was a steal!

The equivelant Land Rover Defender or Discovery would cost around $4000 - $6000 with 150K on the clock.

I did purchase this XJ! Runs real smooth and strong!
Does need some work but shouldn't be anything major. Glad to own a Jeep now tho!
I will get some pics together and fire em up!
Thanks to all who gave advice and helped make this happen!

O/P that is a good price for you. Canadian prices always seem to be much higher than down here. If you can get a chance to drive it at highway speeds, you would know if it has any death wobble issues.

EDIT; Congratulations!

Thanks!
I have taken it out on the highway and runnin along at between 100-120km/hr there is no wobble or vibrations at all. Out on the praries here i'm sure its gonna get pushed around by the wind but i'm ok with that because overall this type of vehicle suits my lifestyle.
I love this truck already and havent even had it a week! Its really comfortable and is a lot easier to drive than my buick; less blind spots too! Its not as cushy but again i was specifically looking for this type of vehicle so i was plenty aware that there would be certain luxuries i would be losing. Cant wait to get this rig on some trails!
